Best Water Filter earns commission when you buy a product through a link on this site. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not affect which products we recommend or how they score.
How it works
When you click a link to a product and buy it, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be if you had gone to the retailer directly — the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket.
We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We also work with Levanta, which connects publishers with brands selling on Amazon.
What it does not affect
Scores are calculated, not chosen. Every product runs through the same formula — owner ratings, certification, filtration stages, warranty — which is published in full. We cannot move a score to favour a product, because we do not set scores by hand.
Commission rates vary between products, and we ignore that when ranking. Some products we link to pay us more than others. If ranking followed commission, the recommendations would be worthless — and you would work that out quickly.
Brands cannot buy placement. No manufacturer has paid for a position, a score, or a "best for" label on this site, and none will.
Where you will see disclosures
A short disclosure appears near the top of every page containing affiliate
links, before you reach any of them. Outbound product links are marked with
rel="sponsored" so search engines and browsers can identify them.
