Best Water Filter earns commission when you buy a product through a link on this site. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not affect which products we recommend or how they score.
How it works
When you click a link to a product and buy it, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be if you had gone to the retailer directly. The commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket.
We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. We also earn commission through brand partner programmes, where a brand selling on Amazon pays a higher rate than the standard one. Either way the link takes you to Amazon and the price is the same.
What it does not affect
Scores are calculated, not chosen. Every product runs through the same formula, built from owner ratings, certification, filter cartridges and warranty, which is published in full. Because the formula sets the score, there is no lever to pull in a product's favour.
Commission rates vary between products, and we ignore that when ranking. Some products we link to pay us more than others. If ranking followed commission, the recommendations would be worthless, and you would work that out quickly.
Brands cannot buy placement. No manufacturer has paid for a position, a score, or a "best for" label on this site, and none will.

A short disclosure appears near the top of every page containing affiliate
links, before you reach any of them. Outbound product links are marked with
rel="sponsored" so search engines and browsers can identify them.
